Dear parents, I hope you and your families are well and keeping safe. We are all still adapting to this new situation and trying to do the best that we can. These are challenging times for us all and we thank you for your cooperation.
The work set by our teachers on the 12th March included work for our pupils up until the 5th April. This work is to encourage our pupils to continue to learn while they are at home.These topics and tasks have been carefully chosen so that the children can work independently, as much as possible, and therefore accommodate parents working from home and help in establishing a new daily routine.
Remember to do as much or as little, as you can, each day!
Finding the right balance for each family is going to involve a period of trial and error for us all. This example below may be useful;
There are many expert people and organisations offering help in the form of free online activities. These include; games, projects that entertain, educate, and teach valuable skills. Most of us will need a number of new items in order to fill our daily and weekly diaries.
It is a good idea to involve your child in planning their education as well as goals and rewards. Printable Home Activity Charts are now available on the website that the children can pick and choose from. I hope they are helpful and that you all enjoy doing the activities together.
I can assure you that the teachers are strongly committed to supporting you, however we can. Further work will be set by the teachers and made available under the class tabs on the website, if it is required after the 19th April. On return to school, we will make plans to ensure all curriculum content is covered with each pupil.
Keep safe and I hope to see you all soon! Best regards, Michelle Flanagan
