As part of the Readathon the children in First and Second Class had to do seven mini book reports and one big one. The children in Third to Sixth Class had to do three different types of book reports-for example, written, typed, video, etc. They all put in a huge effort and some lucky few were given prizes for this effort. We also gave out prizes to children for taking part in the Readathon. Unfortunately, we couldn't give prizes to all the children. With the help of all the staff, winners were chosen. A big well done to all the children and to our winners from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. Book clubs were set up throughout the Readathon from Third to Sixth Class. Ms. Hargadon, Mrs Walsh, Catherine and Bernie all helped to run these Book Clubs. A big well done to all those to joined a Book Club!

We have all been very busy over the last 10 weeks in school. Back in March we started a school wide Readathon. All the children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class took part. They joined book clubs, read during DEAR Time and at home; older classes read with younger classes; we dressed up for World Book Day; did fantastic book reports. Please take a few minutes to look through some of the photos for the past few weeks and make sure to keep encouraging reading at home. Halloween Fancy Dress October 23rd
