Language/ communication activity
Rhyming is so important for language development. It can also be very helpful for spelling. Have a go at finishing these sentences by adding a rhyming word. See if you can write a list of rhyming words as an extension activity.

Fine motor skills using theraputty/playdoh
Well done on completing the programme of gross motor skills. For the next few weeks we will do a mixture of fine and gross motor skills. If you have theraputty at home please use this for your finger/hand muscle exercises. If not, you can use playdoh and why not make some for some added fun! Keep up the gross motor exercises too!

BAKING AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
There are so many essential learning opportunities to baking, as well as the added advantage of being able to eat the delicious product you have baked at the end!
Check out some visual recipes here https://ncse.ie/visual-recipes. I would love to see what you make and even how you made it. Why not record your baking skills using the Our Story App available here https://ncse.ie/useful-apps.
You can email me on mrsstanleystabannon@gmail.com Maybe some of your friends would like to see your baking skills. You could be the school baker on the school website!

This week we are concentrating on balance...Balance refers to the information that the body provides regarding position of the head in relation to gravity, and changes in the movement of the head. This maintains the body in a controlled position during activity and movement.
Here are some exercises to help develop your balance: Socical/Communication group: It's time to phone a friend this week... Keeping in contact with friends and family is very important at the minute. We have many ways of doing this but we were lucky enough to have studied and practised phone conversations earlier in the year. Now is you time to practise your skills! Don't forget to greet them, tell them who is speaking and wish them farewell at the end of the conversation. Here are some tips and a guide to help the conversation flow! Say hello from me! :)
