We have been awarded our 5th Green Flag! This flag was based on the theme of Biodiversity and all the children worked hard on various projects over the last two years. Well done especially to Ms Carney and the Green Schools Committee who have done us proud once again. A Celebration Day and raising of the flag will take place in June. Further details to follow. On Wednesday, April 9th, the boys and girls of Scoil San Nioclás took to the stage with a fantastic concert in the Barbican Theatre in Drogheda. The girls from 1st-6th opened the show with their musical number Singin' in the Rain / It's Raining Men and the fun continued with 1st and 2nd's production Peter Pan. Junior and Senior Infants performed Julia Donaldson's The Princess and the Wizard and soloist Roisin Clerkin wowed the audience with her version of The Climb.
The second half of the show opened with 3rd and 4th class and The Trial of Goldilocks. Soloists Fiona McAnespie and Abbie Brady entertained the crowd with their singing and 5th and 6th class had everyone in stitches with their production - The Next Factor. The show closed with a grand finale of The Cup Song (When I'm Gone) It was a fabulous, fun filled evening and we congratulate everyone involved. A special thanks to drama teacher Suzanne, Mrs Walsh for her musical talent and to our Host with the Most, compere Éamon Carroll. Thanks also to Mrs Halpin for the photographs. |
