This year's school tour from 3rd class to 6th class will link closely to the historical events of the year in Ireland.
SCHOOLS AND THE RISING
We will be leaving the school at 9 am to get a get us up to Dublin nice and early. We are due to visit the Little Museum of Dublin first and will get a tour at this stage. We will also have some time to look around and visit any tourist shops on site. Following the tours we will go to St. Stephen's Green (weather permitting) and have our lunch in this beautiful and famous park.

We will meet with our bus  tour guide here and we will travel to Trinity College, O' Connell Street, the GPO and The Garden of Remembrance. We will be getting an informative talk from our tour guide as we travel past all these historical sites and again, weather permitting, we may be able to walk some of the way.

Our next and final stop is Collins Barracks. We will get a walking tour of this barracks and learn all about its famous history. We will then leave the barracks at 2:30pm and should return to school at 3:30pm.

As part of our Health Promoting Priority on Friendship (Mental and Emotional Well-being) we held a day showing how being different to others is just a way of being Unique. All children came to school in uniform as per usual but with something different about themselves. They wore odd socks, odd shoes, were wearing jumpers on inside out or back to front or created extreme hair styles. The sun shone down on us and this day turned out be an enjoyable activity for all the children promoting Friendship and individuality.
