It was a cold dark starry night. A girl with long brown flowing hair and deep blue eyes, climbed higher and higher up the steep grassy gravelly slope. Her long ankle length dress was whipping harshly around her legs. The glistening star pattern was sparkling against the shimmering moon and upon her neck was a long silver chain with a single crystal moon, a moon that kingdoms were torn apart over.
She finally reached the top exhausted and worn out. The wind was furiously blowing and she started doing what she came for. She called, called for a boy that would save them all……
A young boy awoke late in the night, soaked to the bone in sweat. He didn't have a nightmare but felt scared as if something was ahead, something big. He began to have the same dream again. The girl, the girl with deep blue eyes and a crystal moon necklace. She was out there somewhere.
Back on the mountain top Starlight knew her work was done. She lay down tierd and slept waiting for the morning sun to wake her the next day.The sun rose slowly and was soon showing through fluffy clouds. A boy awoke in one world, a girl in another. One got off a comfy bed, the other stayed on lush green grass. One had no idea why they were determined, the other knew exactly why both were determined.
Starlight slowly fell asleep again and knew all would be well when she awoke. Tom got up and dressed as usual, ate his usual breakfast, picked up his school bag, but halfway through his walk to school he noticed he wasn't taking his usual path. He was in a long overgrown road with dead leaves scattered everywhere and at the end was a stone well. Tom was suddenly drawn to it and ever so gradually he crossed the road and climbed the well and finally jumped in.
It wasn't dark but colourful and deep, really deep. Every second he felt he was have a watery grave but no, he just picked up speed and fell deeper. Tom felt like he would fall forever. Until, as if it were a downward tunnel he popped out and before him were tall golden gates.
There was a long silver chain on the gate and where the chains met there was a lock with a spiky mouth and jagged teeth and they were both clamped shut. Tom moved closer and the lock burst to life. Somehow Tom knew he could talk to it.
“Can I pass?2 asked Tom.
“Only if you can solve my riddle,” it sang in reply.
“When you feed me I grow but give me water and I die,” echoed the lock.
Tom thought hard for a moment and almost jumped in joy.
“Fire, the answer is fire!” he shouted into the cold chilling air.
The gates swung open and Tom ran. He was determind to reach the highest mountain. He climbed boulders, swam through rivers and at the top was a girl. The girl with the brown hair, the girl with the crystal necklace.Tom ran and grabbed her necklace, light rays came out. The girl awoke.
“Brother, you came!” she cried.
Tom was confused but hugged her because deep down he knew that this was his sister.
Starlight explained how he was left on earth when he was born because of the Great War. Their parents had died fighting for goodness.
Tom never found out why he was the one to save them but he was soon to find out and his fate would be sealed forever...
