Local Artist Susan Farrelly visited our school and showed the children artwork containing lots of geometric shapes. The children got creative and designed their own patterns and shapes to paint on the planter boxes at the front of the school. They created the shapes using tape and then painted the insides lots of different colours. The children loved being creative and enjoyed the process immensely. They turned out so beautiful!

Hello everyone,
I can't believe it is the last day of term, it was definitely a different kind of year. Firstly I want to congratulate you all on on a fantastic years work. I'm sad that it was cut short and that we didn't get to experience all of the things we would of liked to, but I am blown away by how well you have coped with working from home. We have new bakers, new chefs, new musicians, new gardeners. You have also developed an interest in new things and activities. You have learned to adapt when life needs you to and have become more resilient. You have grown as people. This experience was unlike any other we have seen, you have lived through an important moment of history and you have all been AMAZING. You should be so proud of yourselves, and I am very proud of you. And as for 6th class, I just want to say CONGRATULATIONS. You have been an excellent class throughout your time spent in Scoil San Nioclas. It probably doesn't seem like that long ago when you were starting out in Junior Infants. We have enjoyed getting to know you, watching you grow and achieving so much in your eight years with us. It has not been easy on you in the last few months especially, missing out on many activities, but I hope that today you step back and remember the good memories and all of the wonderful experiences you have had throughout the years. You have brought joy to the classroom and made me laugh each and every day. You have a special bond with one another, which I am sure will last a lifetime. You have made friends for life in Scoil San Nioclas and I hope you continue to look out for one another in the months and years ahead. You are on to the next exciting journey and I hope you grab the opportunity with both hands. You can achieve anything and believe in yourselves and your own capabilities. I hope you all keep your wonderful sense of humour and keep smiling those beautiful smiles. I will miss you all so much, but I know you are ready to start your new chapter. GOOD LUCK! I hope you all have a fantastic summer! See you all soon, Ms.Savage. Just a reminder : All Seesaw accounts will close today at 11am. Anyone who wishes to log on and download their journal will have 60 days to do so. After this you will no longer have access to your work. The last week. Can you believe it? You have worked very hard over the past few weeks and well done. So next week have fun and get active for Active Week. Have fun on the last week and enjoy these activities. :)
Share some information on your favourite book you have read this year. Tell us a little bit about the plot, characters and setting. You can use the following templates to help you with your writing. I will share the list of recommended books on the class page for summer reading.
